Another great book by Heather Huffman. Easy to read, floating. Wished there was a sequel to it! It is full of suspense and romance and talks about a subject close to my heart.
She avoids painting grim pictures of Neena’s life before escaping from prison.

Neena has to run again and figure out how to clear her name and reclaim the life that was stolen from her. I love the family she befriends, and the other people with whom she crosses paths on her journey.
The problem is that she never really tells it. If you’re jailnird for a lazy, light read, this would fit the bill.

Pace rated it really liked it. Midway through the book I realized that this isn’t a crime thriller, it’s a Religious romance novel and heatther up hopes of it being what I originally thought it was. They were very realistic to me. Easy to read, floating. Police is after her, reporters are after her, her nine years old daughter wants to meet her, the baby is on the way.
I understood how her past affected her, and there was no doubt just how much trepidation she felt about her future. Making her exciting escape, all action in the book is gone until the last two or three chapters. With a manhunt under way and her newfound happiness at risk, Neena is forced to face the painful memories of her past to decide on her future.

I’ll try another of this author’s work. And it just gets more and more unbelievable from there. I will recommend this story for everyone. She fought her past, for her children, all three of them, for her family, for her right for happiness. In this paradoxical blend of light and dark, Jailbird is a warm and humorous tale about the power of hope. She has to survive and fight for her life jxilbird happiness.
I just couldn’t get past the unbelievability of the rest of the story. Which is why I stopped not even halfway thru.
Huffman is a very jaailbird writer. The plot, which races along very nicely until the “third act” kind of ravels at that point. She has skeletons in the closet. Police is after her, reporters are after her, her nine years old daughter wants to meet her, the baby is on the way. Get to Know Us. Won’t tell too much so you must I really enjoyed this book from the start when a young native american woman escaped from jail where she had been wrongly imprisoned for 10 years.
