When Oliver finally uncovers the reason why Paul was reincarnated, you know that Riley is the reason for it. Time really flies while reading this book, which is everything I ask for.
He is still fiercely protective of Riley, loyal to Paul, and a trapper through and through. Other books in the series. Forsaken — unlike some series this book does not work as a stand alone piece, the plot would just be foebidden confusing if you jumped into the series here.

Riley is one word – kickass! Cold, foebidden, and short. The Demon Hunters of Rome, the Priest that oversees them, and the powerful force behind what happened to Paul Blackthorne are the new and dangerous, perhaps even deadly, ingredients added to the mix. RILEY, as in the first forbicden, continues being an honest portrayal of a seventeen-year-old girl who struggles both with being the only girl in a male-dominated job and coping with losing her dad.
Write a product review. I really liked Riley, and I think her grief and stress clouded her judgment at times, which is why she did a few things that perhaps were unwise. Trappdrs realise how lonely Riley really is. Riley, as always, is the perfect protagonist. Simon — he’s gone haywire. The mutual pining between Beck and Riley continues and intensifies, so I’m just about ready to bribe Jana Oliver for a kissing scene by now.

They have both good and bad traits, they have good and not-so-good moments, they delight or frustrate you, they make the smartest decision in the world one moment and try to stab a demon in the ass two seconds later. Sometimes it’s hard for authors to have their sequel supersede the first book, but Jana was able to do that with ease.
Mortimer is a great character. Jana really throws in some curve balls. Would you like to tell us about a lower price?

In this book, you get a sense that Beck actually cares for Riley, but the two of trappdrs are so hard headed that trappets wonder who they have co-existed so long without coming to blows. And God help me if the Beck-Riley angle didn’t set off some feminist alarm bells for me in the first book. It is, much like its predecessor, very creative — I especially liked the creepy reanimated-body auction and the idea of parking spaces as mini shops.
Mortimer does stick his neck out. I’m starting to get tired of the boyfriend either being MIA in the second book or just being an ass.
