I saw the film version many years ago and always meant to read this very short epistolary and it did not disappoint. Definitely a book for book lovers. Create a free website or blog at WordPress. What is most moving of course is that Hanff and Doel never met and the book came along after his death in the late s and was an immediate hit. Was there a play?
